At the Bow-Tie Madrid booth, with the excellent Silvia Romero
A lot of strongly coloured British tweed at the Sciamát booth this year. In front of a British painting depicting, not by chance, a hunting scene, there is a triumph of single and double-breasted jackets, four buttons, but also six in a row, instead of the usual bottleneck design. Glenurquhart is the name of the fabric used for a suit; the colourful vests are rigorously worn underneath the single-breasted blazer. According to the trademark of this sartoria, all the jackets of the new ready-to-wear collection are light, thanks to the total absence of canvas inside, and tout roped sleeves, deep side vents and important lapels. In the booth, Sciamát shows outfits for the three main circumstances that every gentleman could face during the week: the tuxedo area, for gala happenings, the unmatched suit, ideal for a dinner with friends and, lastly, the formal suit, for a board meeting of a company or for a hearing in tribunal. A stylish detail: on the double-breasted blazer, the last button is alwsys in line with the pocket.
Colpisce il tweed inglese in colori forti nello stand della bitontina Sciamát. Al cospetto di un quadro britannico raffigurante, non a caso, una scena di caccia, trionfano giacche monopetto o doppiopetto, quattro bottoni, ma anche sei a colonna, invece che ad imbuto. Glenurquhart è il nome del tessuto utilizzato per un abito; i gilet, invece, sono presentati in colori forti ed immancabili sotto il blazer monopetto. Come questa sartoria ci ha abituati, le giacche della nuova collezione ready-to-wear sono leggere, grazie alla totale assenza di canvas al loro interno, sfoggiano maniche aggrappate, spacchi profondi e revers importanti. Nello stand, infine, vengono presentate soluzioni per le tre possibili circostanze che un gentiluomo puà vivere: l’abito da cerimonia, per le occasioni di gala, lo spezzato, ideale per una cena con amici, ed infine il formale, per il consiglio d’amministrazione in azienda o un’udienza in tribunale. Un dettaglio di stile: nel doppiopetto l'ultimo bottone è sempre all'altezza della tasca.
